Sarah Perons
Consultant, Churches Cymru
With a background in archaeology and historic building conservation, my work in the Church in Wales has spanned conservation best practice, training events, and supporting church volunteers in caring for their buildings and churchyards. I also served as Llandaff Diocesan Archives Advisor.
During that time, I created and project managed the Churches Unlocked Festival, which encouraged churches across South Wales to open their doors to visitors, share their heritage and stories, and celebrate their role in community life.
In 2024, I launched Churches Cymru through which I now work as a freelance church heritage consultant, based in Cardiff but providing services throughout Wales. You're welcome to contact me in English or Welsh.
Alongside this, I serve as a Commissioner for the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, where I contribute to strategic direction, particularly around Welsh Places of Worship.
